ONE DIRECTION: BERTEMU RATU INGGRIS!

One Direction sudah dari awal bulan November mengkonfirmasi kehadirannya di acara amal kerajaan Dan pada acara Royal Variety Performance yang diselenggarakan di Royal Albert Hall, London, The Boys berhasil bertemu dengan Ratu Elizabeth.

"Hari ini aku bertemu Ratu," ujar Harry setelah selesai tampil di Royal Albert Hall.

Di acara ini, One Direction tampil bersama dengan girlband Girls Aloud dan Robbie Williams. Selain menampilkan penyanyi-penyanyi hebat, acara ini juga menampilkanstand up comedy, tari, sulap, dan special acts dari berbagai penampil.

Acara amal yang juga menghibur keluarga kerajaan ini dipimpin oleh berbagai host populer, selayaknya variety show.

Zayn Malik juga senang sekali bisa datang ke acara ini. "Sangat menyenangkan di The Royal Variety Show !! :D " Tutur Zayn melalui akun Twitter-nya.

Saat ini The Boys sedang disibukkan dengan rencana tur 2012-2013 dalam promosi album Take Me Home. Album Take Me Home sendiri sudah mencapai nomor satu di Amerika lho girls!

2. NIALL HORAN: KENCAN DENGAN AMY GREENE

Setelah banyak simpang siur soal hubungan mereka, Niall Horan terlihat jalan bareng dengan Amy Greene di London,Selasa (20/11). Amy dan Niall memang dikabarkan berpacaran.Dan akhir-akhir ini mereka semakin sering terlihat berdua.

Sebelumnya Niall dan Amy juga sudah sering terlihat bersama dibeberapa event. Tapi orang terdekat mengatakan kepada media Inggris,The Sun, kalau Amy memang berteman dengan para member One Direction.

"Amy sudah ada di lingkaran The Boys lebih dari setahun ini.Tapi sepertinya Niall enggak mau membuat Amy di-abuse atau di-bully oleh fans-nya di dunia maya," ujarnya.

3. ONE DIRECTION: "TERIMAKASIH DIRECTIONERS"

Walaupun enggak membawa penghargaan apapun dari tiga kategori yang diberikan American Music Awards 2012. One Direction tetap mencetak prestasi dengan penjualan Take Me Home di minggu pertama. Dan baru-baru ini satu persatu The Boys mengucapkan terimakasih kepada seluruh Directioners yang ada di seluruh dunia melalui akun Twitter mereka.

"Hello... Terimakasih banyak atas dukungan kalian untuk album ini. Kita tidak menyangka akan sebaik ini! Terimakasih.Huge Love .xx," ujar Harry melalui akun Twitter-nya kepada seluruh fansnya.

Enggak lama Niall juga ikut mengucapkan rasa terima kasihnya melalui akun Twitter. "Wow! Terimakasih ya semuanya! Kini album dan single ada #1 di minggu pertama! Kalian semua hebat!Big love."

4. ONE DIRECTION: SUKSES MENJUAL TAKE ME HOME

Setelah mengeluarkan album keduanya Take Me Home, The Boys mengharapkan bisa menjual lebih dari 500,000 kopi di minggu pertama. Dan hasilnya 1D berhasil menjual 575.000 kopi diminggu pertama.

Berdasarkan data dari Billboard Chart, hasil penjualannya ini membuat album Take Me Home ini membuat One Direction menempati posisi tiga dalam penjualan album tercepat di tahun 2012. Posisi pertama di tempati oleh Taylor Swift dengan penjualan 1.2 juta kopi dan Mumford & Sons' Babel dengan penjualan 600,000 kopi.

Padahal Album One Direction yang pertama Up All Night juga masih berada di posisi tiga sebagai album Terbaik 2012 di Billboard Chart. Itu artinya, One Direction memiliki 2 kategori album terbaik di US sempai akhir 2012. 5. ONE DIRECTION: RILIS FILM 3D

Directioners, kabar gembira dari TheBoys nih! Baru-baru ini One Direction mengumumkan kalau mereka akan mengeluarkan film 3D pertama mereka. The Boys mengumumkan saat tampil diToday's ShowRabu lalu.Rencananya film ini akan dirilis pada bulan Agustus 2013 mendatang.

"Aku merasa sangat senang sekali karena kita membuat film ini. Mengingat apa yang sudah digapai oleh One Direction hingga saat ini," ujar Simon Cowell mengenai film ini. "Mereka memiliki fans yang banyak di seluruh dunia dan film ini untuk mereka," lanjut Simon.

Sementara Simon mengumumkan kabar gembira ini, The Boys tampil dalam acara tersebut membawakan lagu terbaru mereka didepan deretan red telephone boxes gaya Inggris.

6. ZAYN MALIK: LEBIH SUKA SANTAI DI RUMAH

Mendekati peluncuran album terbarunya, kayaknya The Boys makin sibuk dan makin jarang santai. Makanya kalau ada waktu luang, Zayn yang lebih senang santai dirumah bersama keluarga dan pacarnya ketimbang pesta ataupun main keluar.

"Aku cowok yang suka bermalas-malasan dirumah. Aku suka ada dirumah dan menghabiskan waktu nonton DVD dengan Perrie," ujar Zayn. "Atau enggak kita kerumah Louis dan nonton X-Factor bareng," lanjut dia.

Walaupun punya teman-teman yang solid dan pacar, Zayn tetap senang juga menghabiskan waktu bersama keluarganya. "Aku juga suka pulang ke rumah di Bradford dan santai-santai bersama ibu dan ayah sambil minum teh," ucap Zayn.

7. ONE DIRECTION: HITS THE X-FACTOR US STAGE

Panggung The X-Factor US di Los Angeles Kamis malam, 8 November lalu terbakar berkat penampilan One Direction. Louis dkk sukses bikin penonton jejeritan dengan dua lagu baru yang mereka bawakan, Live While We're Young danLittle Things. Dua lagu ini akan masuk di album kedua mereka, Take Me Home.

Walaupun bukan termasuk rakyat Amerika. Tapi Niall Horan salah satu orang yang ikut senang atas kemenangan Obama menjadi presiden Amerika Serikat untuk periode 2012/2016.

One Direction are an English-Irish boy band formed in London in 2010, consisting of members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after being formed and finishing third in the seventh series of British television singing competition The X Factor. They subsequently signed in North America with Columbia Records.

The release of One Direction's debut studio album Up All Night (2011) established their international breakthrough. History

The X Factor, formation, and record deal (2010–11)

In 2010, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson auditioned as solo candidates for the seventh series of British television reality singing competition The X Factor.^[3] Failing to progress to the "Boys" category at "judges' houses", after a suggestion by guest judge Nicole Scherzinger,^[3] they were put together to form a five-piece boy band at Wembley Arena, London, England, July 2010, during the "bootcamp" stage of the competition,^[4] thus qualifying for the "Groups" category. Subsequently, the group got together for two weeks to get to know each other and to practise.^[5][6] Styles came up with the name One Direction as he thought it would sound good when The X Factor announcer read their name out on the live shows.^[5] For their qualifying song at "judges' houses", and their first song as a group, One Direction sang an acoustic version of "Torn".^[7] In the live shows within four weeks, they were Simon Cowell's last act in the competition.^[8] The group quickly gained popularity in the UK.^[2] One Direction finished in third place and immediately after the final, their song "Forever Young", which would have been released if they had won The X Factor, was leaked onto the internet.^[9] Shortly afterwards it was confirmed, One Direction had been signed by Cowell to a reported £2 million Syco Records record contract.^[10][11][12]

Up All Night is the debut studio album by English-Irish boy band One Direction, released by Syco Records in November 2011 in Ireland and the United Kingdom, followed by a worldwide release during 2012. After finishing third in the seventh series of British reality singing contest The X Factorin December 2010, One Direction began recording the album in Sweden, UK and the United States, working with a variety of writers and producers. The album is predominantly a pop music album, which orientates into pop rock, dance-pop, teen pop and power pop. The album's lyrical content explores themes about having fun, being young, relationships, heartbreak and empowerment.

The album received generally favourable reviews from contemporary music critics, commending the album's carefree, youthful lyrics and pop sensibility. Attaining international success the album topped the charts in sixteen countries. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, selling 138,163 copies, and became the UK's fastest-selling debut album of 2011. Up All Night went straight to number one on the Billboard200, selling 176,000 copies in its first week, which made One Direction the first British group in history to achieve this feat with their debut album. They were inducted into the Guinness World Records as a result. Up All Night also became the first album by a boy band to sell 500,000 digital copies in the US, and as of August 2012, had sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

Up All Night spawned the UK Singles Chart top ten hits — "What Makes You Beautiful", "Gotta Be You", and "One Thing". The lead single "What Makes You Beautiful", became the most pre-ordered single in Sony Music Entertainment history. It entered the UK Singles Chart at number one on 18 September 2011, shifting 153,965 copies that week—the highest first-week UK sales for any song in 2011 at the time. It was released in US in February 2012, where it became a top ten hit, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Staged in support of the album, One Direction embarked on the Up All Night Tour (2011–12), as well as live performances, predominantly on the prominent television programs, including The X Factor and Saturday Night Live.

Take Me Home is the second studio album by English-Irish boy band One Direction, released globally in November 2012 by Syco Records (Sony Music Entertainment). The album is a follow-up to One Direction's internationally successful debut album Up All Night (2011). Recording began in May 2012, Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub, Savan Kotecha, Ed Sheeran, Jake Gosling, and Tom Fletcher have confirmed to be involved in the development.

The lead single, "Live While We're Young", released on 28 September 2012, rocketed to worldwide success, peaking inside the top ten in almost every country it charted. The single recorded the highest ever one-week opening sales figure for a song by a non-US artist, and the third ever for a download by a group in the United States.

Niall James Horan, born 13 September 1993 (age 19), is from Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland.^[96] Born to mother Maura Gallagher and father Bobby Horan,^[96] he has an older brother named Greg.^[97] Their parents divorced when he was five.^[96] He and his brother lived between each of their homes for a few years before eventually deciding to live with their father in Mullingar.^[96] Horan was a pupil at Coláiste Mhuire, a boys' Christian Brothers school.^[98][99] He was in the school choir, performing seasonally around Christmas.^[5][6]

Prior to participating in The X Factor, he performed around his homeland, including as a support act for Lloyd Daniels in Dublin.^[100] Horan has been playing guitar since his childhood.^[101] Horan has also stated that he is a "big swing" fan, citing favourite artists Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Michael Bublé.^[102] Horan also cites rock music favourably and is a fan of The Eagles,   Bon Jovi and The Script.

Zayn Malik

Zain Javadd "Zayn" Malik,^[103][104] born 12 January 1993 (age 19) in St. Luke's Hospital, is from Bradford, West Yorkshire, England.^[105] Born to British Pakistani father Yaser and an English mother, Tricia Malik (née Brannan), he has one older sister Doniya, and two younger sisters Waliyha and Safaa.^[99][106] He grew up in East Bowling,^[105] and was a pupil at Lower Fields Primary School and went to Tong High School, a state comprehensive school.^[107] Malik did not fit in at his first two schools due to his mixed heritage, revealing that when he and his older sister moved schools he felt he fitted in better.^[100] After moving schools at the age twelve, Malik, states he started taking pride in his appearance.^[100]

On auditioning for The X Factor, Malik said "I was looking for an experience".^[108] He cites urban music as his main musical influence, growing up, he was into R&Band rap.^[100][108] He as well as other members of One Direction further notes artists such as Bruno Mars, as a "dream collaborator."^[109] Malik is addicted to smoking cigarettes; in late 2011, he expressed his desire to quit.^[110] Malik once wrote on Twitter, "La ila ha ill lalla ho muhammed door rasoolalah", a message which is regarded as a common declaration of faith among Muslims meaning: "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah."

Liam James Payne,^[113] born 29 August 1993 (age 19), is from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England.^[96] Born three weeks early to mother Karen and father Geoff,^[96][114] he has two older sisters, Ruth and Nicola.^[99] Until the age of four, Payne had regular tests done in hospital as doctors noticed one of his kidneys was scarred and dysfunctional.^[114] To help cope with the pain, he had 32 injections in his arm in the morning and evening as a child.^[114] As a student, Payne was heavily involved in sports.^[100] Payne was bullied in secondary school and took up boxing lessons at the age of twelve.^[100] He was a music technology student at City of Wolverhampton College.^[115]

Payne had once performed in front of a 26,000 crowd at a Wolverhampton Wanderers' football match.^[5][6] Payne first auditioned in 2008 to The X Factor's fifth serieswhen he was fourteen.^[115] He made it to the judges' houses, but Cowell thought he was not ready for the competition and asked him to come back in two years.^[115]Payne cites Justin Timberlake as one of his biggest influences.^[116] He also says he draws inspiration from Take That member Gary Barlow when performing.

Harry Edward Styles, born 1 February 1994 (age 18)^[117][118] is from the village of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England.^[119] He is a former pupil at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, a state comprehensive school.^[119] Born to mother Anne Cox and father Des Styles,^[96] he has an older sister, Gemma.^[99] He was seven when their parents divorced, his mother later getting remarried.^[120] Following the divorce, Styles, his older sister and mother moved further out into the Cheshire countryside.^[100] At the age of twelve he moved back to Holmes Chapel.^[100] Prior to participating in The X Factor, the then sixteen-year-old Styles had a part-time job at the W. Mandeville Bakery in Holmes Chapel.^[121]

Styles was the lead singer for the band White Eskimo with band members lead guitarist Haydn Morris, bass guitarist Nick Clough and drummer Will Sweeny.^[119]They had once entered a Battle of the Bands competition, which they won.^[100] As a child, Styles loved singing, noting Elvis Presley as one of his influences.^[100] He also cites Presley for his musical beginnings.^[100] Styles also cites contemporaries, Foster the People, Coldplay and Kings of Leon among his influences.^[94] Styles states that The X Factor gave him "a lot more" confidence as a performer and singer.^[100] Styles says that he often looks to Coldplay front man Chris Martin for inspiration when performing on stage.^[116] Styles also states that The Beatles had a profound influence on him growing up, as his father would play their music.

Louis Tomlinson

Louis William Tomlinson, born Louis Troy Austin,^[123][124] 24 December 1991 (age 20),^[125] is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England.^[96] Born to mother Johannah Poulston and father Troy Austin,^[96] his parents split when he was young and he took on his stepfather Mark Tomlinson's name.^[96] He has five younger half-sisters, and two of them had roles as babies on television series Fat Friends, on which he would go along and serve as an extra.^[100] After Fat Friends, he attended an acting school in Barnsley.^[100] He had small parts in an ITV1 drama film If I Had You and BBC's Waterloo Road.^[100] He was a sixth form student at Hall Cross School, a state comprehensive school, and a former pupil of the Hayfield School.^[100] He revealed that he failed his first year of A levels at the Hayfield School. He ended up going back to Hall Cross and started A levels over again.^[100] He had a number of jobs, including at a Vue cinema and at Doncaster Rovers football stadium as a waiter in their hospitality suites.^[100][126]

As a student at Hall Cross, Tomlinson starred in several musical productions.^[6][127] Tomlinson revealed that landing the lead role of Danny Zuko in a high school musical production of Grease motivated him to audition for The X Factor.^[6][128] Tomlinson cites Robbie Williams as his biggest influence and idol.^[129] In an interview with Now Magazine, he stated: "I've always loved [Robbie]. He's just so cheeky, he can get away with anything. His performances are unbelievable."^[129] He also admires recording artist Ed Sheeran, describing him as "phenomenal."
